The tragic duet "Glorious Epic" is a stormy kinetic narrative conveying passions, desires, feelings and thoughts from ancient times repositioned in a different settingin the contemporary art scene. It is the heroic moment when one body takes on the form of a dyad in a celebration of the vibrant power of diversity. Secondary actions take center stage, transformed from supporting roles to the stars of the scene, creating a poetic allegory about the beauty of mismatching. Sofia Mavragani blends past with present and performance with reality. Two bodies; two worlds; an epic encounter between contemporary dance and Athens’ most famous strip club.
